The Buffalo Ridge Chorale originated in early 2010 and gave their first concert to an enthusiastic audience on May 30 in Hendricks. Since then, they have performed a concert every spring and fall, each preceded by at least eight rehearsals. Concert venues have been various churches in Hendricks, Ivanhoe, and Wilno, Minnesota. In addition to the Chorale's songs, each concert has a special feature -- visual art, literature, or guest soloists.
The number of singers in the Chorale averages in the mid-40's, and currently, the Chorale members hail from fifteen towns along the Minnesota-South Dakota border (the Buffalo Ridge).
No auditions are required to join the Chorale, but commitment to the rehearsals is essential.
The primary mission of the Buffalo Ridge Chorale is to provide an opportunity for singers in the Lincoln County, Minnesota, area to practice and perform challenging choral music that will be appreciated and enjoyed by singers and audiences alike.
